In chapter seven, we read about best practices in job interviews. For this discussion, please write four sample interview questions that you might expect to hear for the specific job listed in your resume’s objective. Most job interviews start with general things like, “Tell me about yourself,” but I am looking for open-ended questions applicable to the specific job you are targeting with your resume. This discussion board is to help prepare you for the interview portion of your Career Packet.
Step 1: Job Interview Questions (due Friday)
First, brainstorm potential interview questions for a job you would be interested in. Post your hypothetical job title and four interview questions you might hear when applying for that job. Questions should be open-ended and specific to the position. These should not be yes/no or short-answer questions. They should be written in a way that gets the candidate (in this case, YOU!) talking.
For example:
Job Title: 5th Grade Teacher
Interview Questions:
1. Explain how you differentiate instruction to meet the needs of a wide range of individual students in your class.
2. What is your philosophy on classroom management?
3. Describe strategies you use to assess students’ progress, and explain how you use your assessment data.
4. What opportunities do you give your students to track their progress and develop academic goals?
