The literature review will demonstrate your understanding of the different methods for searching and reporting literature and how to synthesis and succinctly report themes and findings in current empirical research to then identify a practice need for research or evaluation.
Use peer reviewed articles
Title: This will be based on your social issue or service.Introduction: Your review’s purpose and search report (200 words).Literature review body (1000 words)
a. The literature review is not an annotated bibliography or summary of each article (as per the skill you learned in the first weeks for how to read research). Rather the literature review is a further step that evaluates and compares the research articles (synthesises) and will give the reader of your review an overview of the current research evidence in relation to your specific social issue or service needs. Your review will be an inductive analysis of literature to identify themes or gaps in current research. Therefore, as per the learning on synthesising the literature, you will have several paragraphs that each identify a theme.
Minimum 10 relevant peer-reviewed articles research articles (published in the last 10 years).This would reasonably account for 3-4 themed paragraphs.Use simple headings for each theme.Include comparison of this literature to one relevant and recent report/policy
4 . Conclusion (300 words). Summarise the findings of your review of the literature, explain/argue the significance of your review findings, and create an original research question based on these findings. This paragraph should read as a stand-alone summary of your literature review.
