Assessment
Students to do a presentation and a written report on the below requirement. Students are requested to choose an organization in the UAE. They are to evaluate best practices of HRM that impacts motivation, engagement, retention, stress reduction, focus, life satisfaction, and positive energy at the workplace. The aim is to evaluate using critical thinking skills HR policies, manuals, and other relevant mandates. The task requires in depth analysis to existing HRM theories and strategic HR challenges facing the current organizations identifying traditional practices versus latest trends in HR. Students are expected to use narrative argumentative thorough analysis that reflects their understanding of the course materials, relevant theories, experiences applying each in a critical thinking manner. Students are expected to create argumentative analysis to what, how, why, and who issues questioning with reasoning the existing practices and providing alternatives as problem solvers.
Scenario with questions
You are an HR consultant and was invited to provide an analysis of HR practices at XYZ organization. The organization has issues with performance, engagement, and increased conflict. Revenues are falling and it started to lose market share.
