Usually, this week the assignment would concern your selected nation; however, given recent events, the analysis will cover Russia within the global economy. 1. Prior to Russia’s illegal invasion of Ukraine, identify a specific foreign company that entered Russia (via a joint venture, subsidiary, etc.). 1b. You can find information about the firm’s actions & operations from a news search, the firm’s website, etc. 2. Use, at least, chapter 7, 8 & 9 terms, concepts, and theories to analyze the foreign firm’s entry, investment & operations data in Russia, and response to Russia’s continuing an illegal military operation in Ukraine (continuing or not operations in Russia). Other relevant variables to include ethics, transparency, and social responsibility and their impact to create, sustain, or restrain business development. For example, significant global food scarcity is forecasted due to Russia destroying Ukraine’s agricultural land. You can include terms, etc., from other previously covered textbook chapters. 3.
