Write a response to the article as follows:
First Paragraph: Summarize the main idea of the article and identify the source of the article. A thesis statement of the overall purpose of the paper must be included at the end of the first introductory paragraph. Do not use quotations in the introduction paragraph.
Second Paragraph: In your own words, write about what you have learned from reading the article. Be sure to include supporting details.
Third Paragraph: Relate how this article connects to what you are learning in class. Also
in this section, describe who the article was written by and explain why you think the author/
source is valid/reliable or not.
Fourth Paragraph: How does this article affect you personally? All events affect us in some
way. Be creative as to how this current event is related to you (e.g. socially, emotionally,
economically, etc.) Predict what type of impact this article will have on future generations
in your community and globally. Include in this paragraph the ethical implications of the article
topic. You must support your reasoning.
Include a conclusion paragraph that summarizes the main points of the paper without
introducing new information. Start the paragraph with by re-phrasing your thesis statement.
Do not use quotations in the conclusion paragraph.
