the body? If we have, what is it, what have we gained by doing this, and was the sacrifice worth the cost? If
not, explain why you don’t see that we have sacrificed anything.
2) If we succeed in building a very sophisticated android that seems to act much like a human, at least on the
surface, should the android have the same legal and social rights as we do? Why, or why not? Explain.
3) Imagine that you conduct a radical philosophical experiment by moving to a new town and taking on a
different gender. Try to imagine what that experience might be like and what you might learn about your
self/identity.
