A proposal for a scoping review about how the flexibility of working shifts can affect work-life balance. This considers the fact that even though some workers like health workers, police officers and fire fighters for example, will have different and varied shift patterns but will still struggle regarding accessing personal life needs, like child care, health check appointments, bureaucratic services or even personal development like courses and trainings. Even though there is a vast amount of shift workers, the offer for flexible services is still very low and most of them will run on a Mon-Fri 9-17 basis.
