Hetherington and Weiler in their book Prius or Pickup? describe people as falling into one of three groups. There are the fixed (about 42%), the fluid (32%), and the mixed (the remaining 26%). Briefly describe the belief system of the three groups, and then explain why the fixed and fluid groups disagree in their understanding of the following three ideas (number them 1, 2, and 3).

2. The causes of racial inequality
3. The importance of religion
