The purpose of this assignment is to give you an opportunity to explore your past experiences with writing and how they shape your current approach to writing.

Directions:

Compose a 300-word minimum narrative of your experience with writing. Focus on telling the story of your experiences and feelings about writing from childhood to the present. Use the first-person (“I”) narrative voice.

Concepts to Explore:

Describe experiences you had in the past that shaped the way you look at writing today.
State any obstacles or barriers you may have faced in developing your writing skills.
Discuss steps you believe can help you to become a better writer.
Describe any methods and tools that you hope are discussed in this course that can help you in your journey to better writing.
