Do we think that Ronald De Sousa is right: does sharing jokes that make fun of particular groups show that we have a negative attitude/ believe stereotypes about/ towards those groups?

Or do we agree with David Benatar, that we can enjoy these jokes regardless of how we feel about the targeted group?

Do the jokes people tell ever tell us anything about their beliefs/ attitudes/ personalities? If we agree with Benatar that jokes about groups merely require us to recognize or entertain attitudes, rather than holding them, can we judge a person to be racist, sexist, homophobic etc. based on their jokes?
