Half to one page summary (double-spaced, 12-point font) due for the week’s required readings and videos: This summary should synthesize the main points of the week’s reading. The summaries should reflect a short synopsis, critical reading, and synthesis of the assigned texts and videos/ podcasts. For example, if there are two readings (videos / podcasts) that week, the first paragraph should summarize reading A, the second paragraph should summarize reading B, and the third paragraph should compare and contrast the two readings. As you write your reflections, here are some questions to consider: what main points do the authors make, and based on what data? How do the authors inform and engage with one another? Finally, please include in your summary at least one question that you have after reading the week’s material. The point of the writing exercise is to critically read and integrate the week’s readings as a whole, rather than to simply list the main points of each article or book chapter.
