For this assignment, you will familiarize yourself with how to write personal narratives by recounting your personal experiences. Create an informal paper with responses to the prompts below.

Instructions

Review the brainstorming activities and the generating ideas sections in your textbook (Chapter 2: “Developing a topic”, pp. 34-37 and the Writing Guidelines for Chapter 10, pp. 170-71). Using the following prompts, write some notes in your journal: Recall some memories of experiences that gave you insights into yourself, and possible into others as well. Consider times when you felt hopeful, distraught, confident, or misunderstood. Reflect on times when you made a decision about lifestyles, careers, education, or religion. What accomplishment are you most proud of and why? Choose two or three experiences from the long list you compile and explain more at length why you believe these are significant and how they have been meaningful in your life. Use the “APA Seventh Edition Word Template” document located in Academic Resources as a framework for this assignment.
