For this assignment, you will write an evaluation of a proposal by Student X (see attached file above). This proposal was written by a past student in this course. As a Masters prepared professional you may be invited to serve as a reviewer of grants or as a reviewer of manuscripts submitted to a journal (hence the term “peer-review”). This assignment will give you practice on how to be a peer reviewer.
Please read the above proposal by Student X and write a 5 page report that evaluates the quality of this proposal.
Your report needs to be critical. Please do not just describe what is in the proposal. Your report should reflect your knowledge of research methods and your knowledge of what is expected in a grant proposal.
Use the attached document titled “Evaluating a Research Proposal.doc” to help you evaluate and write your critique of Student X’s proposal. Please do not copy and paste the items in this handout followed by your answers. You need to write your critique in narrative form using the checklist as a guide.
Please make sure that you use Times New Roman 12 font and your paper is double-spaced. Use 1″ margins. No large gaps between paragraphs. Each paragraph should be joined to the next paragraph. Begin each paragraph by indenting it 0.3″.
