Current Event News Article Assignment
Part of being a manager is being able to conduct an Environmental Scan, in part to determine how certain events may impact your industry, organization, department, and/or employees. For this assignment you’re to assume the role of a manager to determine how the current event(s) noted in your article are going to, or have impacted, the operations of the industry.
The assignment will be marked out of 20 based on the Grade Rubric that follows the uploading instructions.

Identify a current event news article, and prepare between 350 and a maximum 500 word (minimum 12 point font), typed analysis of how the article’s content can or has impacted the industry(ies), organization(s), department(s), etc. noted in the article. Your analysis is to reflect content covered during the course, examining and discussing either a single course concept, or multiple concepts in relation to the article. As a starting point you may consider how your article relates to the Four Functions of Management, and/or Mintzberg’s Managerial Roles covered in Chapter 1.
