1) Critical Thinking: A key feature of hybrid IDPS systems is event correlation. After researching event correlation online, define the following terms as they are used in this process: compression, suppression, and generalization. Once you reach a consensus, report your collective answer. Please make sure your answer is justified and supported by external research.

2) Hands on Cyber Security Management Exercise Each member of the learning community should go online and play the game “Targeted Attack” ( http://targetedattacks.trendmicro.com ). While playing the game you must document each decision you make (For example, Decision 1 – Outsource a scanning tool. Decision 2 – Invest in security tools. Decision 3….). At the end of the game document the outcome you achieved. Post your results in the discussion forum and compare answers. Report as a group the following: a) The differences and similarities in your decision paths. b) Did you encounter a common pitfall during the game? Why or Why not? c) What is the main contribution of this exercise to your learning in this course? Please cite sources properly and to answer questions completely.
