Linux Work – 1. Compose a table listing username and password for at least 5 new users to your system. Use different ‘difficult’ levels for their passwords. Save the table in a file.
[!!!! NOTE: Please use easy and simple passwords for at least two users to that you can verify the effectiveness of the tool you will be experimenting!!!!!! ]
2. Create accounts in your system for those new users.
3. Screen print to prove previous task is done.
4. Use John the Ripper or similar tool to crack passwords. Record or at least observe how long it takes to crack each EASY and difficult passwords.
[Note: Search the Internet to learn about password cracking if you are not familiar with John the Ripper which comes with Kali Linux or you can use the Discussions forum for Kali Linux to discuss your concern or share your experience.]
5. Screen print(s) the result from previous task.
6. Write a paragraph or two about your experience of this lab.
