1) Identify the voice/channel you have chosen to be exposed to and to seek.
2) How did you make this choice? According to what criteria? For example, did you choose it because it is related to your heritage or interests? because of language? because of images? because of other exposures in the mainstream media? because you know nothing about it? In short, how did you identify (or not) with it?
3)How do you assess your experience? what did you find interesting? what would have made your exposure more engaging?
4) What stories or contexts and backgrounds did you learn about this voice and its community? was it through research or just exposure to content?
Background info about me:
4th year political science and communications major. Interested in indigenous politics and everything that revolves around it. Global topics like the Palestinian conflict interests me a lot, indigenous law everywhere is what I want to follow. Visible minorities and their representation in alternative media and media in general is a topic of interest of mine.
