Economic, social, and political elites are typically associated with extreme power in political societies and a history of aristocracy, monarchy and dictatorship. Why and how did they come generally to support democracy? What are the limits of that support?
Your answer can deal with the complexities these issues entail but there should be overall a clear thesis and argument.
