The president who defined the 1980s, Ronald Reagan leaves a complex and polarizing legacy. After
reading all of Reckoning with Reagan and the first chapter of Reagan’s Victory (available in the Week
11 folder on Blackboard) your assignment is to write a 1,000-1,250 word essay that evaluates and
judges Reagan’s legacy. In other words, how should Reagan be remembered? Be sure to support your
position with specific details pulled from the reading. In addition, a discussion of both domestic and
foreign policies is needed.
