The IOM report is a dynamic and historic document that has been changing the world of nursing practice in all domains. The Campaign for Action, in part, calls for nurses to “practice to their full extent of their education and training”; and to be “full partners” in “redesigning healthcare.” Choose one of the initiatives listed in the campaign for action and briefly discuss your role as an APRN or a nurse with advanced education and experiences in achieving this. Review the Recommendations of the IOM report. If you were to lead a group regarding these initiatives, what would be your top two priorities and why? How would you go about initiating change?
