The book analysis must be five to seven pages typed double-spaced. The purpose of the review is to analyze in detail the work you have read this semester. You do not need to research your thinker (author) only analyze his/her work. I am looking for clarity, and critical commentary.
Read the work in its entirety. Include the following in your analysis:
a brief summary of the author’s main thesis
identify the author’s ideology and then discuss using examples
pick primary source listed in your reader, that has a similar ideology
compare and contrast one of their writings to your author’s argument
conclude by discussing the overall weakness and overall strength of the author’s argument based upon the ideology. Discuss the practical application of the ideas.
