The brief description of the status of the bill should just summarize where it is the “pipeline”. As far as a summary of the testimony, you will have to watch the hearing to gather this information, and try to summarize it. If during the testimony you have some questions about what they are referring to or what something means, mentioning that would be OK also. you’ll have to include testimony summary in your second report. Public testimony occurs during a public hearing of a bill, look for video of the public hearing to review testimony. When a bill is up for executive action that means it is being voted on, which could only take a few minutes.
