“Psoriasis is an autoimmune condition that causes cells to divide uncontrollably, at an accelerated rate, the body believes that its own tissues are foreign invaders that must be attacked. Psoriasis vulgaris is a disease mediated by T cells and dendritic cells that essentially cause a huge production of cytokines that causes a psoriatic effect. The deployment of T cells throughout the body causes physical effects such as red and silver patches on the scalp, knees, elbows, and lower back as well. Psoriasis vulgaris occurs in early adulthood but can also affect young children. In this paper, Psoriasis will be discussed and explored in an attempt to better understand this skin condition.”
