Use the “Study Coding Spreadsheet” to begin organizing for your literature review. The literature review should allow you to refine your research question, methods, and give you a deeper understanding of the overall research topic.
Areas to complete:
Column A: Study Reference: Submit the study reference in APA Style.
Column B: Study Purpose: Discuss the purpose of the study. Cite specific evidence from the study.
Column C: Participants: Answer question and split up information by participant. For example: Participant 1: Age 3 years 2 months, Male, Autism, Pacific Islander).
Column D: Setting and Materials: Complete based on information in the study.
Column E Response Definitions: Dependent Variable operational definition.
Column G: Independent Variable: What is the variable that is being manipulated that is expected to influence the dependent variable? Be very descriiptive.
Column K: Relation to Research Proposal: Describe how this study is related to your research proposal.
