Please research an outside financial resource (financial guru, blogger, website, tool) and compare/contrast to the financial theories and strategies Liz Weston proposes.
Below are some questions that will help you in your research and discussion:
1. What is their theory about budgeting and how does it compare to Liz Weston? Which theory/strategy do you like better and how would you implement it?
2. What is their theory about debt and how does it compare to Liz Weston? Which theory/strategy do you like better and how would you implement it?
3. What is their theory about retirement and/or investing and how does it compare to Liz Weston? Which theory/strategy do you like better and how would you implement it?
4. What financial tool do they recommend (if any) and do you think you might try to use it (i.e. Mint.com, Betterment, EveryDollar, Quicken, YNAB, LearnVest, Personal Capital, etc.) Why or why not? Do you have experience with this tool? What features do you like/dislike?
Feel free to answer all the questions listed above, or deep dive/focus on only one or two of the questions (for example, if you would rather focus on a financial tool, rather than a financial writer, you are welcome to explore that topic.)
