Introduction
Developing leadership capacity is an active exercise in building a toolbox of successful
leadership attributes and practices. Cognitive flexibility is defined as “a critical executive
function involving the ability to adapt behaviors in response to changes in the
environment” (American Association of Colleges of Nursing, 2021, pp. 56). In this
assessment, we will stretch our leadership and cognitive flexibility (problem-solving)
muscles as we explore valuable resources for these topics.

Overview
After the analysis of your professional identity and the underlying core values and ethics
that shape your interactions, it was reasonable to move your focus to developing
person-centered self-management with a client. Now it is time to consider what impact
you can make in your workplace environment and reflect upon your impact on the
profession of nursing.
Preparation
In this assessment, you will evaluate the practicum site for opportunities, alignment with
own views, and determine if it fosters well-being and workplace health. You will also
reflect on your experiences and approaches to leading change. You will assume that the
audience are the leaders in a workplace environment.
Instructions
In this assessment, you will evaluate your assigned practicum site environment to
determine the level of health and well-being for those who work there. Additionally, you
will reflect on your cognitive flexibility and leadership as it relates to leading change in
the workplace. You will submit this assessment as a PowerPoint presentation. The
PowerPoint presentation should be 7–10 slides with detailed speaker notes, which
include proper APA citation, a title slide, and reference page.

Submissions Requirements
Length of presentation: 7–10 slides. The presentation should be clear, succinct,
and within the required content you need to cover. Also, be sure to include a title
slide and a references slide.
Written speaker notes: Each slide should contain detailed speaker notes that lay
out the content of your presentation.
Number of references: Cite a minimum of 3–5 sources of scholarly or professional
evidence that supports the content of your video. Current source materials are defined
as no older than five years unless it is a seminal work. Be sure cite evidence to support
that your information is evidence-based. Make sure these references are included at the
end of your speaker notes.
APA formatting: Resources and citations are formatted according to APA style.
